Description

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking partners to license and commercialize its Cyber Resilient Trade-off Evaluation (CyRTE) technology. CyRTE is a groundbreaking approach to evaluating and enhancing the cyber resilience of Operational Technologies (OT), balancing security measures with operational integrity. The technology involves a comprehensive evaluation of potential cybersecurity mitigations and their effects on system performance and reliability. It includes the development of digital twins for systemic testing, ensuring that cybersecurity measures do not adversely affect the physical operations of the system before application. • The CyRTE technology is applicable across various sectors reliant on operational technologies, including critical infrastructure systems, manufacturing, utilities, and energy. • The technology is at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 2, meaning the technology concept and/or application has been formulated. • INL offers strategic access to proprietary technology, enhancing small business growth and contributing to economic and public advancement. • The goal of INL's Technology Deployment department is to commercialize the technologies developed by INL researchers.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimation is based on the fact that the technology is at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 2, meaning the technology concept and/or application has been formulated, and INL is seeking partners to license and commercialize the technology. The actual budget may vary depending on the terms of the licensing agreement and the level of commercialization achieved. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the level of investment required to commercialize the technology, the potential revenue generated by the technology, and the negotiating power of the partners involved.
