Description

The Chain Reaction Innovations program is a United States Department of Energy (DOE) entrepreneurship program that aims to support and mentor entrepreneurial researchers in the development of physical science-based technologies. The program provides funding, scientific/technical mentorship, and access to unique R&D assets and scientific expertise at Argonne National Laboratory. Selected innovators will participate in a two-year program, with the possibility of renewal, and will receive benefits such as a personal stipend, travel allowance, and health benefits. The program is open to individuals, not companies or organizations, and applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria, including having at least 5 years of technology R&D experience and being a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. • The program focuses on energy technologies and physical sciences. • Selected innovators will have access to Argonne National Laboratory's resources and expertise. • The program provides a cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) between Argonne and the selected innovator's company. • Innovators will be required to participate in a midpoint review to ensure their performance and progress meet the minimum criteria to continue in the program.
