Description
The City of Valdosta is seeking bids for a one-year contract to provide retread tires and casing pick-up services. The contract will begin on July 1, 2026, and expire on June 30, 2027, with four one-year options to renew. The City is looking for a vendor to provide retread tires that meet all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing tires and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. The vendor must also provide monthly billing to the City of Valdosta and dispose of unserviceable casings at no additional cost.
• The contract will include the provision of retread tires for various sizes and types of vehicles.
• The vendor must have a valid DOT shop number and provide a full copy of their warranty with their bid package.
• The City reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time for its convenience with 30 days' written notice.
• The vendor must stock an adequate supply of the tires listed and fill orders within 24 hours after the City places an order.
• The vendor will utilize tire compound that contributes to good traction, tire mileage, and longer wear for the City of Valdosta.
