Description
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles intends to enter into a single source purchase with Williams Communications for non-warranty maintenance services for FHP radios. The services will include maintenance coverage of FHP XL portable and XL mobile radios, related parts, and accessories not covered under the current SLERS contract warranty. The estimated dollar amount for the contract is $1,255,824.00, with an annual amount of $418,608.00. The contract term is up to three years.
• The maintenance services will support materials and labor related to XL portable and XL mobile radio repairs.
• The radios are critical for law enforcement functions and operation during natural disasters, special events, and intelligence-driven missions.
• Williams Communications is the approved vendor for its portion of the State of Florida to provide maintenance or repair work on the SLERS radio equipment provided by L3Harris.
