Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources that can provide a Formalin Laboratory Recycler that meets specific salient characteristics for the New Mexico (Albuquerque) VA Healthcare System. The recycler must have a minimum 10-gallon boiler and receiver size, internal shelving, and require only one standard electrical power outlet. It must also have a mobile and accessible boiler, air-cooled condenser, and be fully accessible for on-site service. The unit must have user touch screen control, a built-in post filter, vapor sensor, and overtemperature shutdown device. • The recycler must consistently recycle back to 10-12% purity and be room temperature and ready to re-buffer for use. • The unit must recycle indefinitely without degradation of the formalin over time. • The VA is seeking responses from potential sources, including company name, address, point of contact, and size of business. • Responders must provide information on their capabilities to meet the required specifications.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as it is a Request for Information (RFI) and not a solicitation announcement. However, based on the complexity of the formalin laboratory recycler and the requirements specified, the budget could range from $50,000 to $200,000. This estimate is influenced by the cost of similar laboratory equipment and the potential for ongoing maintenance and service contracts.
