Description
The Kansas Department of Transportation is seeking bids for Bituminous Plant Mix in all districts. The contract period is from the date of award to March 31, 2031. The contractor shall provide Bituminous Plant Mix that meets the specifications and requirements outlined in the bid document. The mix shall be produced in a central plant and shall be approved by the Area Engineer. The contractor shall be capable of producing material approved by the Area Engineer within 24 hours of placement of the order.
• The hot mix plant shall produce mixtures for base and surface work acceptable to the Area Engineer.
• The Area Engineer shall select the type of mix based on needs at the specific location where the material is to be used.
• The mix design for the mix selected shall be submitted to the Area Engineer for approval prior to pick up.
• Material to be FOB - Vendor's plant, loaded into KDOT trucks by the vendor.
• Material to be furnished in quantities as ordered by the Area Engineer.
