Description
The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) seeks a qualified contractor to completely replace its existing 60 kW natural‑gas emergency generator with a new 60 kW diesel unit at the Economy Parking Decks. The scope includes supplying and installing the generator, a minimum three‑day fuel tank, a reinforced concrete pad, underground conduit, electrical reconnections, startup, testing, commissioning, and on‑site training. All work must comply with NFPA 110, NEC, EPA Tier emissions, and local codes, and the contractor must handle utility locates, removal of the old unit, and disposal. The contract will be awarded no later than 18 Nov 2026, with work to begin after contract execution.
• Replace 60 kW natural‑gas generator with 60 kW diesel generator (UL‑listed, outdoor‑rated)
• Provide base‑mounted 3‑day fuel tank, day tank, battery system, control panel, and accessories
• Construct reinforced concrete pad and install underground conduit/wiring per NEC
• Perform utility locates, removal of existing equipment, and proper disposal
• Conduct startup, load testing, commissioning, and deliver O&M manuals and training
• Mandatory site‑visit attendance (Sept 4 or Sept 8, 2026) and optional pre‑proposal meeting (Sept 3, 2026)
• Proposal submission through Bonfire portal by 5 PM EST, Sept 30, 2026; questions due Sept 9, 2026
