IR Spectrometer System

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a contractor to provide an IR Spectrometer System. The system will be used to measure the radiance of metal surfaces, including platinum, in the temperature range of 100 °C to 600 °C for the wavelengths of 3.0 µm to 5.0 µm. The contractor shall deliver a quantity of one IR Spectrometer System, inclusive of FOB Destination delivery terms, and a one-year warranty. The system must meet specific technical specifications, including detector sensitivity, minimum detectable optical power, spectrometer speed, spectral range, and spectrum resolution. Key points to consider: • The contractor must provide a firm fixed price quotation that meets all technical specifications. • The system must be new, and used or remanufactured equipment will not be considered. • The contractor must deliver the system within twelve weeks after receipt of the award. • The contractor must provide a one-year warranty for the system. • The system must be capable of collecting light from a bare cleaved or polished fiber placed near the sample surface. • The software to control the instrument must allow control of all applicable control parameters, collection of spectra, and saving of spectral data to non-proprietary file types.
