Ford Combination Meter Test Bench with AMSII

The City of Hayward is seeking a vendor to provide a combination test bench with AMSII and recirculation water meter testing equipment. The equipment should meet the specifications outlined in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) document. The city is looking for a vendor who can provide the required equipment and installation services. The scope of work includes the delivery and installation of the test bench, as well as any necessary training and support. The city will evaluate proposals based on cost and budget proposal. Some key features of the required equipment include: • Meter testing capability for various meter sizes • Actual number of meters that can be tested will be based on water pressure, type of meter, and accumulated pressure losses • Bench rated for 150 psi working pressure • Single Hydraulic clamp cylinder for small meter row • Individual hydraulic clamp cylinders at each station on medium meter row • Three piece in-line repairable 316 Stainless Steel ball valves • Inlet water flow on same axis as water meters • Hydraulic cylinder clamps are self-compensating in relationship to clamp pressure • Spring loaded fork at each small row meter station to stabilize meter alignment • Screw jack platform at each medium row station to align meter ports with bench ports • Drip pan covers entire test area to collect all water during meter change out • Drip pan and lower shelf made from stainless steel • Bench legs made from heavy structural steel with fusion bonded e-coat • Anchor holes in legs for securing to floor • Meter zeroing brass bleeder valve located at each station • Large dual scale (kpa/psi) pressure gauge with pulse snubber located at the beginning and end of each row • 2” Female Iron Pipe Inlet Connection • All Adapters for testing 5/8” through 1” meters • All adapters to test 1-1/2” through 2” meters The city requires the vendor to provide a detailed plan for providing the services, including a cover letter, contact and customer service information, reference and experience, capacity to perform the work, project scope and approach, prices, and insurance information.
