City of Sherman Downtown Lighting Project

The City of Sherman is seeking bids for the Downtown Lighting Project, which involves the rehabilitation and addition of lighting at 100 W. Houston Street. The project includes demolition of the existing sidewalk, light pole and power rehabilitation, removal and preservation of existing parking signs, and other work. Bidders must submit a sealed bid with a cashier's check or certified check for 5% of the total maximum bid price. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids. • The project requires all necessary labor, materials, and testing in accordance with the plans and specifications. • The city will consider the pre-procurement of materials prior to the issuance of the notice to proceed due to lead times. • The project shall be completed per phasing determined by the city. • The contractor shall maintain record drawings and legibly annotate shop drawings to record changes made after review. • The city approval is required for this project, and final approval and acceptance will not be given until the punch list items are completed to the city's satisfaction and as-built drawings are given to the city.
