AC & Traction Power - Rigging, Hauling, Pickup, Re

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking bids for AC and Traction Power - Rigging, Hauling, Pickup, and Re. The goal of the project is to maintain a State of Good Repair (SOGR) and continuously improve and maintain existing power systems to deliver a safe and reliable metro rail system. The project involves heavy rigging, hauling, relocation, installation, removal, and disposal of multiple types of electrical equipment to and from various WMATA facilities. • The project requires the means for heavy rigging, hauling, relocation, installation, removal, and disposal of multiple types of electrical equipment. • The equipment includes switchgear, panel boards, transformers, cables, motor control centers, battery banks, lighting, generators, Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS), Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), and associated conduit and connection equipment. • The project is expected to last for multiple years, with different base years having different requirements. • The solicitation package can be viewed on the WMATA Supplier Portal.
