SCCB Signs

The South Carolina Commission for the Blind (SCCB) is seeking a contractor to provide interior and exterior signage for designated agency offices throughout the state of South Carolina. The contractor will be responsible for fabricating the signs according to the specifications provided in the RFQ document. The signs must comply with the 2010 Standards for State and Local Government Facilities: Title II, which includes ADA federal regulations. The contractor must provide a sample of each item quoted to the SCCB Project Manager for approval. The contract will include the fabrication of various types of signs, including room IDs, restroom signs, custom signs, emergency signs, evacuation plan wayfinders, building wayfinders, and building IDs. • The signs must have color contrast, with characters and symbols that contrast with their background. • The signs must include Braille Grade II below all text. • The installation method for interior signs must be to use an adhesive material to be applied to the back side of the signage for mounting. • Exterior signs must be weather resistant. • The signs must have rounded or beveled edges and no frame. The contractor must submit a completed and signed copy of the Price Schedule as their official response to this RFQ. The Price Schedule must include a unit price and extended price for each item. The contractor must also provide all associated costs in the item price, except for tax.
