City Prosecution Services

The City of Sweet Home is seeking a qualified person or firm to provide prosecutorial services for the City. The selected Proposer will be responsible for providing prosecution services for all misdemeanors under the Oregon Criminal Code, Sweet Home Municipal Code, and Oregon Motor Vehicle Code, as well as prosecution services for all violations or infractions under the Oregon Criminal Code, Sweet Home Municipal Code, and Oregon Motor Vehicle Code. The Proposer will also be required to perform standard and non-standard prosecutorial duties, including case reviewing and issuing, pretrial negotiations, court appearances, trials, and interfacing with crime victims, witnesses, and members of the public. • The Proposer must be a member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar Association. • The Proposer must have experience in municipal prosecution. • The Proposer must be able to provide effective and professional advice to the City. • The Proposer must be able to work independently and as part of a team. • The Proposer must be able to communicate effectively with City staff, law enforcement, and the public. • The Proposer must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • The Proposer must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. • The Proposer must be able to provide periodic status reports and itemized monthly invoices. • The Proposer must be able to advise and participate in meetings as requested by the City.
