Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole source contract to Cepheid for the provision of brand name reagents and consumable supplies for the Leased Cepheid Gene Xpert Infinity's located in the Microbiology Laboratory of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service at Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital. The contract will be for a base year with four option years. The contractor must be an authorized distributor of the required reagents and able to provide ready-to-use brand name reagents that are compatible with the Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity. The contractor will deliver reagents when the end user places orders against the contract/PO, unless the end user provides the contractor with a shipping schedule to load with the contract. The contractor must provide confirmation of order within 24 hours as the order request is received and provide tracking information and an estimated delivery time.
• The contract requires the provision of various reagents and consumable supplies, including SWAB/G-50 COLLECTION KIT, XPER SWAB, US CE IVD, and GXCT/NG-10 KIT.
• The contractor must ensure that all supplies are of the highest quality to ensure precision and accuracy.
• The contractor must clearly mark the expiration date on all supplies and alert the VA of any delays in shipment or technical advisory/recalls/alerts.
• The contractor must deliver reagents when the end user places orders against the contract/PO, unless the end user provides the contractor with a shipping schedule to load with the contract.
• The contractor must provide special handling for emergency orders of supplies, delivering the necessary consumables within 24 hours of receipt of a verbal order for emergency delivery.
