Description
The Washtenaw Community College is seeking a contractor to renovate the OE 149 Clean Room. The project includes providing all labor, equipment, materials, scaffolding, hoisting, and incidentals to complete the renovation in accordance with the specifications, drawings, and applicable codes. The contractor will be responsible for managing and coordinating with all other trades necessary to complete the work, performing demolition work during a 3rd shift, and coordinating schedules for audio/visual systems and I.T. cabling work. The contractor will also be required to secure and pay for all required permits, licenses, inspections, approvals, and fees for the work.
Some key points to consider:
* The project is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2026, and must be completed by June 30, 2026.
* A pre-bid meeting and site visit are mandatory.
* The contractor will be required to provide a schedule/workplan for obtaining necessary permits, materials, and procurement of long-lead items.
* The contractor will be required to employ craft employees in all classifications and individual trades required to successfully perform the work.
* The contractor will be required to participate in a Class A Apprenticeship Program for each separate trade or classification in which it employs craft employees.
