The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement to the University of New Mexico for the IMRO Cultural Landscapes Inventory project. The project aims to develop a variety of written architectural documents, including condition assessments and treatment plans, for historic properties in the Intermountain Region. The project will involve summer internships for graduate students in the fields of American history, historic architecture, and landscape architecture. The interns will work in the NPS Santa Fe office and in parks, conducting field evaluations and updating condition assessments. The project will also involve research and review of existing documentation and management information, as well as research to determine National Register eligibility.
• The project will provide students with the opportunity to use software programs critical to the CLI program, including GIS, Adobe Creative Suites, and AutoCAD.
• The interns will utilize and incorporate hand-drawn and photographic representations to document field conditions for historic features.
• The project will emphasize developmental historic research, fieldwork, mapping and graphics, and database entries.
• The NPS will provide technical consultations and cooperation, but the cooperator will work without direct NPS supervision to accomplish each task.
