Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to execute a comprehensive road and drainage improvement project on Cotton Belt Road in DeSoto Parish, LA. The work includes utility protection, excavation, installation of cement‑stabilized or stone base, asphaltic concrete paving, culvert and inlet installation, concrete toe walls, rip‑rap placement, and associated temporary traffic‑control and erosion‑control measures. The contractor must submit a traffic‑control layout for engineer approval before construction, comply with LA DOTD standards, and manage all material disposal and site restoration at no direct‑pay.
• Replace 18‑in. cross‑drain pipe (optional 24‑in. & 36‑in.) and install two 8‑ft culverts and a type‑B inlet.
• Provide 12‑in. cement‑stabilized base (or 10‑in. crushed‑stone) and ½‑in. asphaltic concrete wearing course; asphalt binder must be placed within 10 calendar days of base placement.
• Install rip‑rap, concrete toe walls, a ductile‑iron grate, and complete drainage realignment, with all temporary traffic control following LA DOTD TTC‑00(A‑D), TTC‑03, TTC‑04, TTC‑18 standards.
• Perform utility protection, erosion control (silt fence, SWPPP), and removal/re‑installation of signs, fences, and other incidental items at no direct pay.
