Description
The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism is seeking a qualified contractor to supply and install two new fire hydrants at Hickory Knob State Park. The contract is a fixed‑price, unit‑price award based on the lowest responsible and responsive bid. The work includes delivery of brand‑new hydrants, all associated materials, labor, travel, equipment, testing, and a manufacturer’s warranty. The contractor must be a registered South Carolina vendor and must complete delivery and installation within 30 days of receiving the purchase order.
• Replace one Dresser MH‑129 (1972) 4.5‑in hydrant in the campground and one Waterous WB‑77 (1979) 4.5‑in hydrant near the motel area.
• Provide all materials, fittings, labor, equipment, travel, insurance, and post‑installation testing.
• Deliver and install the hydrants at Hickory Knob State Park (1591 Resort Drive, McCormick, SC) within 30 days ARO; no refurbished equipment allowed.
• Optional claim of SC End‑Product, US End‑Product, or SC Resident Vendor Preference may be made on the bidding schedule.
• Bids submitted online via the state procurement portal; questions due 04/17/2026; award expected 04/24/2026.
