Hurst Equipment Maintenance

The County of Lexington seeks a single, authorized South Carolina dealer to provide comprehensive maintenance, testing, cleaning, greasing, and adjustment services for its fleet of Hurst Jaws‑of‑Life hydraulic rescue tools. The contractor must be certified by Hurst Jaws of Life, use only approved Hurst fluids and parts, and perform work in accordance with NFPA 1936 (2015). Service visits will occur at fire stations over a three‑to‑four‑day period, rotating tools in and out of service as needed. The vendor must have sufficient staff, parts, and consumables on‑site for each service day. • Service includes load testing, cleaning, greasing, torquing, and calibration of spreaders, cutters, rams, and combo tools. • All work must be performed by Hurst‑certified technicians using only OEM fluids and components. • Inventory consists of roughly 100 tools (cutters, spreaders, rams, combo tools, etc.) with quantities subject to change. • Service window: 3‑4 consecutive days at fire station locations designated by the LCFS. • Contract awarded to one authorized dealer; all work must comply with NFPA 1936 standards.
