Tax and Auditing Services

The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) is seeking proposals from experienced, qualified firms of certified public accountants to provide Tax and Auditing Services. The scope of work includes auditing financial statements, performing single audits, preparing tax returns for non-profit corporations, and providing attestation services. The agency intends to award a contract for an initial term of three years with two additional one-year extensions. The selected firm will be expected to provide services in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and the Uniform Guidance at 2 CFR Part 200. Key requirements include independence, government auditing standards experience, public housing authority experience, and the capacity to audit SHRA's scope. • The proposer must be an independent public accounting firm licensed to perform audit services in California. • The proposer must have demonstrated experience performing audits in accordance with GAGAS and the Uniform Guidance. • The proposer must have recent experience auditing public housing authorities or comparable HUD-funded entities. • The proposer must demonstrate sufficient staffing, supervision, technical expertise, and availability to complete SHRA's audit within the required timeline.
