The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking responses to a Solution Readiness Assessment (SRA) for the Common Automation Platform (CAP). The CAP aims to replace legacy systems with a unified, state-of-the-art platform. The SRA is a continuation of the November 2025 CAP Request for Information and transitions the CAP acquisition from market research to solution qualification. The purpose of this SRA is to determine whether proposed solutions meet a defined set of minimum requirements necessary to support potential Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) prototype and implementation efforts.
Key aspects of the SRA include:
• The FAA is seeking answers to directed questions in accordance with the attachment.
• The SRA evaluation approach will employ a minimum requirements evaluation to determine whether each SRA submission meets or does not meet the minimum requirements.
• The evaluation criteria include operational deployment, domain coverage, scalability, integration, safety certification, standards compliance, architecture, experience, availability, and implementation.
• Respondents must submit a completed Appendix A: Minimum CAP Requirements Table by January 20th, 2026.
