Environmental,Hazardous, and Medical Waste Disposal Services

The San Joaquin Delta Community College District is seeking qualified firms and individuals to provide Environmental, Hazardous Waste, and Medical Waste Disposal Services at District facilities. The selected firm will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe learning and working environment, and providing professional services for the Environmental and Hazardous Materials Services Program. The scope of services includes environmental waste disposal, hazardous waste disposal, and medical waste disposal. The contract resulting from this RFP will have a duration of five years. Some key responsibilities of the selected firm include: • Quality control and inspection of campus-wide rooms and satellite locations for hazardous waste storage and labeling violations • Development of procedures for satellite programs in accordance with local regulatory agencies • Maintenance of chemistry stockrooms and hazardous waste storage areas • Training of chemical stockroom personnel • Weekly organization, labeling, and lab packing of hazardous waste • Air monitoring as required • Emergency response for waste removal and hazardous releases The District is looking for a firm with at least 10 years of experience in full-spectrum environmental management services, hazardous materials management, and waste minimization strategic planning. The proposed personnel must have at least a BA in chemistry and attended training and received certificates in relevant areas such as Title 22/RCRA, Hazardous Waste Compliance Training, and Hazardous Materials Management Plan.
