The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is seeking information on low resource computing (LRC) paradigms and processes applicable to microsystems. The goal is to identify untapped potential for LRC within DARPA's operational and technological base, particularly in environments with limited power, communication, or physical space. DARPA is interested in innovative insights that address the technical challenge areas described, including low power, low memory, low reliability, and low technological level.
• The RFI seeks to determine how the principles of LRC can be leveraged to harness untapped potential in computing.
• Respondents are welcome from all capable sources, including private or public companies, individuals, universities, and research institutions.
• The submission should address at least one category from Section 1 (Physical Resources) and may optionally address a category from Section 2 (Logical Resources).
• The technical response section is limited to 4 pages per Section 1 category, or 8 pages if a Section 1 and a Section 2 category are addressed together.
