The United States Space Force Operational Contracting Enterprise is hosting an industry day to discuss the future of construction in the U.S. Space Force. The event aims to create a forum for industry partners to collaborate with the government and share their concerns and best practices. The event will cover topics such as the new authorities for construction contracting, including Other Transaction Authority (OTA) under 10 U.S.C. § 2808a, and how these tools fit into the broader acquisition landscape. The event is open to members of the construction industry, specifically general contractors, and is limited to two personnel per company.
• The event will include a general session and one-on-one sessions with selected companies.
• The event will be held on 14 September 2026, from 0900-1200 (general session) and 1300-1400 (one-on-one sessions).
• The event will be held at the Innovation Hub, 2424 Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO, with a virtual option available via Microsoft Teams.
• Attendees are encouraged to submit questions and concerns in advance to ensure a productive and transparent dialogue.
