Police Roadside Assistance

The City of Independence, Missouri, is seeking qualified vendors to provide roadside assistance services, including towing, battery and tire repair services for City of Independence Police Department vehicles. The vendor shall also be required to tow vehicles not owned by the City for evidentiary purposes. The successful vendor shall respond to service calls within one hour. Key services include: • Battery jump start • Flat tire services • Tow service • Evidence towing The vendor must have at least two years of prior experience owning or operating a towing service and must maintain certain insurance policies, including workers' compensation insurance and business automobile liability insurance. The vendor must also have at least three units capable of highly efficient performance at the scene of an accident.
