Description
The Wake County Public School System is seeking proposals for student transportation services for the SCORE Academy. The selected vendor will provide transportation for students to and from school, with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer service. The contract will be for an initial duration of 10 months, starting in September 2026 and ending in June 2027. The vendor must have experience in providing similar services, be licensed and approved to do business in North Carolina, and meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• The vendor will transport students from their residences to the specified SCORE Academy location and return to the specified SCORE Academy location to transport students back to their residences.
• The vendor must have vehicle space available for a minimum of 10 students, with no student seated in the front seat.
• The vendor must ensure that all drivers have a current license to drive and check each driver's driving record.
• The vendor must be fully insured and provide a certificate of insurance that adheres to the attached terms and conditions.
• The vendor must work with the WCPSS Human Resources department to complete criminal background checks on all employees providing transportation.
