Description
This solicitation calls for the removal of an existing kitchen water heater and the replacement of a series of HVAC pumps at the Shawangunk Correctional Facility in Wallkill, NY. The work includes mechanical demolition, installation of new pump units, associated piping, valves, controls, and electrical upgrades, all to be performed in compliance with New York State building, mechanical, electrical, fire and safety codes. The contract also incorporates MWBE participation goals and requires vendors to possess a Digital ID and be registered with an approved bonding service.
• Remove the existing kitchen water heater and associated piping.
• Replace 17 heating water pumps (P‑8 through P‑18) with new Bell & Gossett pump models, including all required valves, strainers, expansion tanks, and control instrumentation.
• Perform complete electrical disconnect/re‑install work for pump power circuits, upgrade motor controllers, and ensure fire‑stop compliance.
• Provide testing, balancing, and documentation per specification sections, and coordinate a mandatory pre‑bid site visit on 11 May 2026.
