Taxiway B Reconstruction (B5-E)

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a qualified contractor to reconstruct Taxiway B (segment B5‑E) at Colorado Springs Airport under the Airport Improvement Program. The work includes full‑depth removal and replacement of existing concrete pavement, installation of new concrete runway, asphalt shoulders, realignment of taxiway intersections, new lighting, pavement markings, drainage improvements, and related site services. The contract will be a fixed‑unit‑price award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with an estimated project magnitude of $20 M–$25 M and a 200‑day construction period starting after a Notice to Proceed (expected April 2027). • Remove existing 75‑ft‑wide concrete pavement and replace with new PCC runway. • Replace 25‑ft‑wide PCC shoulders with 30‑ft asphalt shoulders and add drainage, lighting, and markings. • Realign Taxiway B at the Taxiway E intersection and provide new fillet geometry at Taxiway F. • Provide all required insurance, bonds, Buy‑American certification, and compliance with Davis‑Bacon, ADA, Title VI, and FAA requirements.
