The City of East St. Louis is seeking a qualified contractor to perform a comprehensive electrical and mechanical retrofit at the Fairlawn Estates property. The work includes installing new electrical service equipment, lighting, safety detectors, and a boiler system, as well as ensuring all wiring is properly secured and compliant with code. This is a single‑site, on‑site bid with mandatory pre‑bid attendance.
• Install new electrical meter service and breaker panels
• Install new lighting fixtures in the basement and throughout the building
• Secure all loose/hanging wiring with straps or conduit
• Install smoke and carbon‑dioxide detectors throughout the property
• Install a new boiler system and connect hot‑water tank piping
• Provide exit and emergency lighting
• Provide labor and materials, submit three sealed copies to the City Clerk by the deadline
