College Center Chiller Replacement

The Allegany College of Maryland is seeking proposals to replace the existing chillers in the College Center building. The project involves the demolition and removal of the existing chillers and their associated systems, as well as the installation of two new modular style chillers, new chilled water and condenser water pumps, new controls, and a new refrigerant detection system. The project also includes the furnishing and installation of all new controls for each system, tied into the existing campus Johnson Controls Automatic Temperature Control System. • The project requires the demolition and removal of the existing chillers and their associated accessories and systems. • The installation of new chillers and their associated accessories and systems is required. • The project includes the furnishing and installation of a new chilled water and condenser water pump for each new chiller, including new VFD. • A new refrigerant detection system, including a new monitor panel and refrigerant detectors, must be installed. • The project requires all other miscellaneous work shown on the drawings and specified.
