The City of Rockford is seeking a developer to purchase and develop eight market-rate townhome style units for sale or rent on the property located at 966 N. Court Street. The selected developer will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including acquisition, initial planning and design, procurement, implementation/construction, and final delivery of the townhomes. The developer must follow all federal, state, and local regulations and statutes, and serve as the single point of contact for the project. The City envisions this project as a catalyst for future development, demonstrating the economic viability and market potential for quality residential development in Rockford. Key requirements include:
• Acquisition of the property
• Initial planning and design
• Procurement
• Implementation/construction
• Final delivery of townhomes approved for occupancy
The City will retain ownership of the architectural drawings and related design documents, and the developer must demonstrate financial capacity, experience, and qualifications to complete the project.
