The Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) seeks a qualified vendor to deliver a comprehensive after‑school elementary sports program for TK‑6 across 32 elementary schools, plus junior‑high scorekeeping services. The contract is for one year with up to four optional one‑year renewals, requiring daily deployment of 52 coaches, provision of all sports equipment, curriculum development (including a SEL component), and full compliance with background‑check, CPR, and mandated‑reporter requirements. The vendor must also manage billing based on actual staff attendance and provide an Operations Manager to coordinate with the district.
• Provide 3 hours per day, 5 days/week of sports (flag football, basketball, volleyball, soccer) for TK‑6 students, respecting student‑to‑coach ratios (≤20:1 grades 1‑6, ≤10:1 TK‑K).
• Supply 52 qualified coaches and 2 junior‑high scorekeepers, ensure CPR/first‑aid certification, fingerprint clearance, and weekly professional‑development sessions.
• Deliver an accredited curriculum with a Social‑Emotional Learning (SEL) component, including a Grade 3 lesson plan aligned to CASEL competencies.
• Manage all equipment (collapsible goals, cones, etc.), handle substitute coverage, and bill monthly based on actual attendance; price must remain firm through May 21 2027 with ≤5 % annual increase.
