The City of Worcester’s Department of Public Works is soliciting sealed bids for the replacement of two emergency generators located at 18‑20 E. Worcester St. and 76 E. Worcester St. The contract includes complete demolition of existing units, supply and installation of new diesel‑powered generators, automatic transfer switches, associated electrical distribution equipment, grounding, and all required testing, commissioning, and training. The work must be performed within 360 calendar days after contract execution and complies with Massachusetts Chapter 149 public‑works requirements, prevailing‑wage rules, and city‑specific MWBE and REO ordinances. • Scope covers full electrical demolition, new generator and ATS supply, conduit/ductbank installation, panelboards, grounding, and on‑site commissioning. • Contractor must provide 5 % bid bond, 100 % performance and labor bonds, required insurance, and adhere to weekly payroll and MWBE reporting. • Pre‑bid conference on 19 Nov 2025 (optional) and bid submission deadline is 12 Dec 2025 10:00 AM.
