Description
The Pennsylvania State Police is seeking a vendor to provide snow removal and application of granular deicing materials at the TROOP P - TUNKHANNOCK STATION location. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, and the vendor will be required to visit the site and take into consideration all conditions prevailing that would affect the bid price. The vendor must provide a completed site visit form, cost matrix, worker protection form, small business certification, and insurance certification with their bid. The contractor will be responsible for registering in the "Snow Removal Service Log" and providing quantities of material(s) applied.
* Key requirements include:
* Snow removal and application of granular deicing materials
* On-call contract with the station commander or designee establishing the snow removal response
* Vendor must have equipment adequately sized to perform the service in an efficient manner
* Services are paid per task completed, regardless of the number of equipment or staff utilized
* Invoicing clarification: bid labor pricing is per hour per task, not per contractor's employee
* Line item increases to cover extra staff will be denied
* Indicator flags/marker flags are required to indicate where parking curbs are, so they are not damaged by plow
* Damage to parking lot surface, sidewalks, curbing, bumper blocks, and lawns to be repaired under the contractor's insurance requirements
* No equipment may be stored, parked, or left unattended by supplier on PSP properties when not in use
