Description
The University of Maine System is seeking a single, Maine‑licensed insurance broker to serve as the exclusive provider of student health, accident, and athletic coverage for all campuses. The contractor will manage enrollment, plan administration, compliance, reporting, and ongoing customer service, including coordination of stop‑loss insurance. The award will be based on a weighted score covering cost, agreement acceptance, qualifications, and solution narratives, with a firm price required for the full contract term.
• Must be a licensed Maine insurance broker with experience serving large employers or higher‑education institutions.
• Provide brokerage for student health, accident, and athletic insurance, including plan selection, implementation, and renewal.
• Deliver customer‑service support to students, parents, and university staff, and ensure compliance with state regulations and university policies.
• Submit a fully signed, virus‑free PDF proposal ≤ 20 MB by March 19 2026, following the detailed evaluation rubric.
• Contract will begin May 1 2026; award announced April 10 2026.
