Description

The US Army Contracting Command is seeking industry partners to provide low-cost ground and airborne technologies to detect, classify, track, and defeat UAS-borne threats. The technologies should be modular, mature, and have low Size Weight and Power (SWaP). The solutions may be ground-based or suitable for operation on Class 1 UAS platforms. The key requirements for the Sensing solutions are: • Detecting, classifying, and tracking Group 1 to Group 3 Unattended Aerial System (UAS)-borne threats • Being mature, modular, low SWaP, battery powered, and low-cost (< $3K per module in quantities of 10K+) • Having documented physical and electrical interfaces suitable for immediate integration The key requirements for the Effector solutions are: • Disabling or destroying UAS-borne threats • Utilizing non-kinetic soft-kill (disable, disrupt, confuse) solutions, or kinetic hard-kill (destroy) solutions • Being low cost (<$4K in quantities of 10K+) • Being suitable for integration into a Group 1 UAS or a fully integrated counter-UAS drone with a documented wireless interface

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not provide a specific budget or funding amount. However, based on the requirements for low-cost solutions (< $3K per module in quantities of 10K+ for Sensing solutions and <$4K in quantities of 10K+ for Effector solutions), it can be inferred that the budget may be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. The factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of modules or solutions required, the level of complexity and customization needed, and the duration of the project.
