Riata Detention Basin Construction

The County of Mohave is seeking bids for the construction of the Riata Detention Basin. The project involves constructing a detention basin on Flood Control District land west of the City of Kingman. The basin will be formed by excavation and embankment with rock lining on the downstream face, a rock primary outlet spillway, and an outlet pipe placed below the spillway crest. The construction cost range for this project is expected to be between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. • The project includes excavation, embankment, and rock lining. • The contractor will be responsible for site access and maintenance of public streets. • The project has a completion deadline of 180 days from the notice to proceed. • The County requires the contractor to have certain insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability, and worker's compensation. • The County also requires the contractor to comply with various federal and state regulations, including the American Rescue Plan Act and the Clean Air Act.
