Description
The City of Key West seeks a creative firm to design, fabricate, and install an original, site‑specific welcome sign/artwork that greets visitors entering the island. The project must reflect Key West’s cultural heritage, comply with FDOT standards, and be safe for motorists and pedestrians. The selected contractor will be responsible for concept development, detailed engineering, material selection, fabrication, and full installation, including any necessary coordination with the city commission and FDOT.
• Develop an original artistic concept that embodies Key West’s identity and meets FDOT signage regulations.
• Produce detailed design drawings, CAD models, and material specifications for a durable, weather‑resistant sign.
• Fabricate the sign and associated structural components, then install it on‑site, ensuring clearance from guardrails and travel lanes as stipulated.
• Secure all required city and FDOT approvals, and provide documentation for maintenance and future preservation.
