Description
The U.S. Embassy in Harare is seeking a qualified contractor to backfill an existing swimming pool and complete a suite of associated civil, electrical, plumbing, drainage, masonry, landscaping, and external works at the embassy residence. The work must be performed within 60 calendar days of award and includes site preparation, de‑commissioning of pool services, installation of drainage, construction of a new masonry wall, staircase extensions, handrail fabrication, storm‑water drainage, demolition and reuse of existing tiles, back‑filling with gravel, topsoil placement, turf installation, concrete slab pathways, and final site restoration. All labor, materials, equipment, permits, and inspections are the contractor’s responsibility, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible offer.
• Site‑visit pre‑proposal conference on Sept 2 2026 (optional)
• Quotations due Sept 8 2026, 1700 Harare time, electronic submission only
• Must be SAM‑registered and provide required certifications (SF‑1442, L representations, etc.)
• Work must start within 10 days of award and be completed within 60 days
• Includes back‑filling (≈ 416 m³ gravel), masonry wall (5.2 m long), staircase extensions, handrail fabrication, storm‑water drainage, topsoil (≈ 46 m³) and turf (≈ 221 m²)
• Contractor responsible for all disposal, safety, and compliance with local building codes.
