Description
The Mississippi State Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to provide laboratory medical technology services. The applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a closely related field, certification as a medical technologist/clinical laboratory scientist, and two years of work-related experience. The contract will begin on or around July 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2027. The chosen applicant will work up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7am and 5pm, at a rate of $35 per hour and $3.00 per hour for time while on call.
Key requirements and details include:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Medical Laboratory Technology, Bacteriology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
• Certification as a medical technologist/clinical laboratory scientist by a recognized certification agency
• Two years of work-related experience
• Original documentation verifying education and 3 signed Letters of Recommendation required with resume
