Description
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is seeking a contractor to provide an educational website host service for the IRS. The website, CEProvider.us, is used by organizations to register, submit course information, and maintain their status as an IRS-approved CE provider for courses offered to tax professionals. The contractor will be responsible for developing and administering the existing solution for the registration, renewal, and review of CE providers. The contract is expected to expire in August 2026, and the transition period is estimated to be 18 months. The contractor will be required to provide various reports to the IRS on a routine basis and must comply with federal government regulations and security requirements.
Key aspects of the job include:
* Providing an online application system for CE providers to apply for IRS-approved status
* Developing and administering the existing solution for the registration, renewal, and review of CE providers
* Providing a system for CE providers to submit electronic applications and supporting documentation
* Generating approval or denial letters and notices to CE providers
* Providing a secure mailbox for each CE provider account
* Allowing CE providers to securely retrieve a forgotten username and/or password
* Displaying the contractor's help desk phone number and hours of operation on each front-office webpage
* Providing a system for CE providers to upload PTIN data for program completion records
* Providing a system for real-time secure payment processing for registration and renewal fees
