MN USPFO Scrap Metal Recycling

The Minnesota Army National Guard at Camp Ripley is seeking a contractor to collect and recycle scrap metal. The contractor will be required to supply three roll-off containers with a minimum volume of 20 cubic yards and a maximum volume of 30 cubic yards. The containers will be located at the Camp Ripley Solid Waste Transfer Station, Ammunition Supply Point, and United States Property and Fiscal Office Warehouse. The contractor will be responsible for removing the scrap metal from the containers within 5 calendar days of notification that the containers are full and replacing them with empty containers. The contractor will be paid based on the agreed-upon percentage of the market index price for the scrap metal at the time of removal. The contractor will also be required to submit a monthly report detailing the weight and price of the scrap metal removed. • The contractor must have the ability to weigh the scrap metal on certified scales and provide weight tickets to the Government as verification of weight. • The contractor must have the ability to remove the scrap metal from the containers and transport it to a recycling facility. • The contractor must have the ability to provide a monthly report detailing the weight and price of the scrap metal removed. • The contractor must have the ability to pay for the scrap metal based on the agreed-upon percentage of the market index price. • The contractor must have the ability to comply with all applicable Federal, State, local, and multi-jurisdictional laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to the registration, licensing, handling, possession, transportation, transfer, export, processing, manufacture, sale, use or disposal of the scrap metal.
