Billing Landscape Scan

The Washington County Health and Human Services (HHS) department and the Department of Housing Services (DHS) are seeking a consultant to conduct a billing landscape scan to identify opportunities for increased billing revenue. The consultant will review current billing practices, interview internal contacts, and provide a high-level summary of the inventory. The goal is to determine if there are untapped billing opportunities and to identify the most cost-effective method to capture additional revenue. The project will be completed in three phases, with the first phase focusing on inventorying opportunities for increased billing revenue and documenting existing knowledge and practices related to billing processes and procedures. • The consultant will review a list of potentially billable services by program, branch, division, and department. • The consultant will interview identified internal contacts to populate the edited template. • The consultant will share a high-level summary of the inventory with the project team to identify subsequent steps. • The consultant will recommend a set of billable services to include in a phase two cost-benefit analysis. • The consultant will provide a draft approach for phase two based on the review of HHS's and DHS's proposed scope of work.
