Wheatley Dam Dredging Services

The Charles County Government is seeking bids from qualified dredging firms to provide wet dredging, hauling, and sediment disposal services within defined areas at Wheatley Dam reservoir. The project aims to remove sediment accumulation in the northern and western cove areas of the reservoir. The contractor will be required to make reasonable efforts to avoid disturbing delineated riparian wetlands during dredging operations. The contract term is from the date of contract execution to September 30, 2027, with four optional 1-year renewals. • The contractor must have experience in mechanical freshwater dredging or sediment removal projects of similar scope and complexity. • The contractor must implement erosion and sediment control measures, turbidity control, protection of wetlands and adjacent natural resources. • The contractor must manage the complete handling and transport of dredged sediments, including dewatering, loading, hauling, stockpile construction, grading, drainage, erosion. • The contractor must provide insurance as required by the solicitation.
