Description
The State of South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking qualified transportation providers to deliver statewide foster‑care and medical transport services for children placed in regular, therapeutic, medical, and emergency placements. The contract is fixed‑price, organized into five lots, each with defined maximum rates for mileage, driver assistance, wait‑time, cancellation, and supplemental staff. Providers must operate 24/7, maintain a dispatch and tracking system, meet extensive driver qualification, background‑check, and safety‑equipment requirements, and submit detailed invoicing per service type. The award will be for up to five years (one‑year base term with four optional one‑year renewals).
• Provide regular, therapeutic, medical, and emergency placement transportation statewide (lots 1‑5).
• Meet vehicle, driver, insurance, background‑check, bilingual staff, and training standards outlined in the solicitation.
