Description

The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to clear and maintain sand at Ocean Beach. The work involves relocating sand from one area of the beach to another, with the goal of creating a flat and smooth surface. The contractor will need to acquire a permit from the city for their laydown area and ensure that all utilities are located and verified. The period of performance on the purchase order will allow up to 90 days for completion. The contractor will need to maintain a flat appearance, except where previous sand removal has left existing low spots on the beach. Minor windrows and equipment tracks are permissible. • The contractor will need to relocate sand from one area of the beach to another. • The contractor will need to acquire a permit from the city for their laydown area. • The contractor will need to ensure that all utilities are located and verified. • The contractor will need to maintain a flat appearance, except where previous sand removal has left existing low spots on the beach. • Minor windrows and equipment tracks are permissible.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

Based on the scope of work, which involves relocating sand and maintaining a flat and smooth surface, the estimated budget for this contract could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is rough and based on the assumption that the contractor will need to use heavy equipment and labor to complete the work. The actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the contract and the contractor's bid. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the amount of sand to be relocated, the distance of the relocation, and the complexity of the work.
