RFB-144-26 KVA - EKVC-Elevator Modernization Project

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a contractor to modernize the elevator systems at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center. The project involves replacing the existing Elevator #1 and Elevator #2 with new hole-less hydraulic type elevators, including the installation of new elevator cabs, power units, and controllers. The contractor will be responsible for providing and installing a complete system that ties into the existing electric and fire alarm system. • The contractor must furnish and install new elevator systems to replace the existing elevators. • The contractor must demolish and remove the existing elevator cabs, power units, and controllers. • The contractor must provide a complete system that ties into the existing electric and fire alarm system. • The contractor must reuse the existing guide rails, hoistway doors, frames, and sills. • The contractor must provide new elevator cabs with enameled steel, plastic laminate wall panels, stainless steel rails, and illuminated ceilings.
