The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for the professional service of evaluation, measurements, fabrication, and fitting of custom wheelchairs. The contract will cover only those wheelchair components and services that are not covered or reimbursed by Medicare or Medicaid. The awarded vendor must submit all applicable claims for wheelchair accessories, components, and parts to Medicare and/or Medicaid in accordance with program requirements. • The contract will be used solely for items and services that remain non-covered after Medicare/Medicaid claim submission. • Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB. • The historical spend for the same or similar goods or services is $150,000.00 for the period FY25. • The estimated contract start date is March 2026. • The contract term may include renewal or extension periods.
