The Department of Veterans Affairs will award a three‑year, firm‑fixed‑price, sole‑source contract to Cepheid for the rental, installation, maintenance, and support of GeneXpert molecular‑diagnostic instruments across six VA facilities in Louisiana. The contract includes a base year and two optional one‑year extensions, with an annual ceiling of approximately $166 K and a total potential value of about $1 M. The contractor must provide 24×7 technical support, on‑site repairs within four business days, annual preventive‑maintenance visits, and strict data‑security compliance, including a Business Associate Agreement for handling PHI.
