Description
The Shrewsbury Contributory Retirement System is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide on‑demand legal services that comply with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 32 and CMR 840 (Public Employee Retirement Administration). The contract will be awarded on an as‑needed basis, allowing the selected provider to address a variety of legal matters for the retirement system throughout the contract period.
• Scope: General legal counsel, advice, and representation related to retirement‑plan administration, employee benefits, compliance, and any other matters arising under MGL 32 and CMR 840.
• Delivery: Services provided on an as‑needed, case‑by‑case basis; no fixed hours or deliverables are pre‑defined.
• Eligibility: Individual attorneys or law firms with experience in public‑employee retirement law and Massachusetts state statutes.
• Submission: Proposals must be received by 12:00 PM EST on 13 Nov 2026; late submissions will not be considered.
• Evaluation: The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and will select based on qualifications, experience, and cost proposal.
